I’m going to New Zealand!!!

This is a place I’ve wanted to go for years and I’m finally taking the leap. I wanted to throw myself out of my comfort zone a little, so I’m hoping to stay for a few months to a year. It’s a little terrifying and very exciting.

Usually with trips, I go and try to disconnect a little. I stay off social media, and I don’t like making a big fuss about it or telling anyone besides the people who need to know. It’s a nice break.

But this trip is so different and so much more vast than anything I’ve done before. I’m making a big deal about it because I don’t have a job to return to and I’m traveling for an unknown length of time, and without that safety net, I know I’ll be relying on communication with all my friends and family back home much more than when I take a week off for a trip. Basically, I’m afraid that I might make it to the other side of the world and miss everyone. (I already miss everyone.) So I’m selfishly putting together a space for everyone to connect with me and it’ll remind me I’m not alone. :)
